Enjoy your weekend in this amazing Nag Tibba Trek from Dehradun. The trek will begin from Dehradun upon your arrival at either the railway station or the bus stand. From there, you will advance to Pantwari which is en route to the Nag Tibba Base Camp. This leg of the trip involves an 85 km drive as well as an 8 km trek. The day will close with a refreshing visit to Nag Tibba temple, a bonfire and finally dinner.

The Nag Tibba Summit trek is a further 3 km from the base camp. It is one of the most beautiful sights of India where you get to see Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Kedarnath and Gangotri. The final leg of the trip will involve an 8 km walk back to Pantwari and a picturesque drive back to Dehradun.

Nag Tibba, which literally means the “Serpent’s Peak”, is at a towering height of 3022 metres. It is the highest peak of Uttarakhand, and is located close to its capital, Dehradun. As part of the Garhwal Himalayas, it retains the pure Himalayan air and provides tranquillity to its visitors. The atmosphere is serene and lets you experience the tenderness amidst its surroudings.

The short duration of the trek (2 days), ease of access and quiet, unexplored surroundings make it perfect for those looking to get away from the travails of city life. The rich dose of nature and spellbinding views of Bandarpoonch, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Changabang and Doon valley are worth the experience.

Furthermore, one can visit nearby villages and get acquainted with village folk, thereby learn about the rich culture of Garhwal. Camping under the clear sky and stars, bonfire and dinner by the forest all add to the unique experience of the trek.

Finally, this trek is recommended for beginners as the difficulty level of the trek is minimal. Those who are physically fit and have a passion for adventure are welcome.
