Kanamo Peak Trek in Himachal Pradesh will fill you up with happiness and excitement giving you a blissful escape from your mundane life.

About the Trek
If you ask me, all this makes the trek more exciting for me! The trek commences from Manali, a known backpacking town located in Northern Himachal Pradesh.
From there, we proceed to Batal, a tiny village in the Spiti District, between the Rohtang pass and the Kaza.
As we travel to Batal, one can view the lush terrains of the Kullu and Manali valleys. This constitutes the first day of the trek.
On the second day, we will proceed from Batal to a place called Chandratal -a quaint little place, known for captivating Chandratal lake. This high-altitude lake is surrounded by Mountains of screen overlooking the lake on one side and Shepard camps on the other, making it truly picturesque.
Trekking to Chandratal Lake takes around 6 hours in the morning. The third day begins with trekking towards Kunzum La which is at (4,600m) and then onwards to Kibber, famous for its wildlife sanctuary and its monastery.
On the 4th day, the trek commences from Kibber to the Kanamo base camp. The Base camp is in a place above the Kibber village.
On the fifth day, the trek begins from the Kanamo Base Camp to our destination, the Kanamo peak summit. Camps will be set up at the summit, to spend the night.
The same day, we return to the Kanamo base camp. On the way to the summit, we get a chance to view and visit the famous Parang La pass that leads to Ladakh as well as the Pin Parvati Pass that leads to the Kullu valley.
There is also the Spiti river, located in the cold desert mountain valley and perfect for rafting enthusiasts.
On the 6th day, we commence the return journey. We start from the Kanamo Base camp to Kibber, which is a four-hour drive. Then we travel from Kibber village to Kaza.
On the 7th day, the journey starts from Kaza back to the mesmerising little town of Manali.
