Deo Tibba Base Camp Trek from Manali Itinerary

Day 1Reach Khanol and begin your trek to Chikka

  • Drive from Manali to Khanol Village. The DeoTibba Base Camp Trek starts from Khanol.
  • The routes are fully loaded with various kinds of berry trees and blooms.
  • It takes 6-7 hours to reach Chikka, which consists of a zigzag route.
  • While trekking, watch the glorious views of Deo Tibba and Indrasan crests and the Spiti valley.
  • These views open up at Chikka, one of the best camping sites in Nag Mandir.
  • Stay in your tents for the night.

Day 2Trek from Chikka to Seri

  • Begin your trek along the bank of the Jagatsukh nallah and enter the temperate forests, which would give away the ways to a hitting scene strewn with rocks and a cover of silky grass and beautiful wildflowers.
  • Abandoning the tree-line, rise to the meadows of Seri. Before, Seri was a glaciated lake; however, now it is a delightful large meadow depleted with cold rivulets and studded with a bewildering assortment of herbs and wildflowers with the flawless Tainta waterfall approaching out of sight.
  • Stay overnight at the campsite.

Day 3Trek from Seri to Tainta

  • Start strolling over the flat meadow and swimming through streams that nourish the Jagatsukh nallah.
  • Prepare for a precarious move through stones that will lead you to a moraine field and get the initial scenes of the splendid DeoTibba and Indrasan. 
  • On this day, you will get enough time to unwind and adapt. 
  • Chill and sleep overnight in the tents arranged.

Day 4Trek from Tainta to Mini Chandratal and return to Tainta

  • After a tricky move across moraine fields, you will get the chance to see a staggering emerald blue frosty lake that is mini Chandratal.
  • Several wildflowers embellish the shores of the lake. All the way, the snow sheathed DeoTibba shines against the bright purplish-blue skies. Watch the high altitude lake with emerald blue water that will inspire you to take one final stretch of the steep climb.
  • You will come back to Tainta later. Sleep overnight in your tents.

Day 5Trek from Tainta to Chikka

  • On your way back, going through Seri, stop at Dudu Pathar for lunch.
  • The descent will take around 4 hours to reach.
  • Sleep overnight in the tents.

Day 6Trek to Khanol Village and drive to Manali

  • Drive back to Manali via Prini. You can also spend some time in Solang valley. While there, enjoy some adventure activities like paragliding, zorbing, and many more at an additional cost.
  • Touch base at Manali by afternoon. Take some time out for a walk around at the nearby market or enjoy leisurely individual activities.
  • Depart for Delhi by evening bus.
