Chandratal Lake Trekking and Camping is one of the best trips one can have in Himanchal Pradesh. Chandratal is also known as Chandertaal. It is one of the most attractive places in India for backpackers to go camping and trekking.

Chandra Tal means Moon Lake. This beautiful and calm lake is situated in pleasing Spiti valley at an altitude of 4300 meters. It offers breathtaking views for sightseeing and challenging terrain for trekking.

Although you can drive up to a distance of 1 km from the lake, the nearby areas offer the perfect place for setting up campsites and enjoying short or long treks.

As the sun changes its course and starts setting, the like changes hues into unimaginable blue color. The surrounding of the lake has a silent and pleasant environment magnified by stony hills and a natural pleasant scene.

Chandratal is located at 14,000 feet altitude in Himanchal Pradesh’s Spiti Valley. Chandratal is a camper’s paradise. In the Chandrataal Lake trek, one gets to visit this majestic Lake of the Moon, a name derived from the crescent shape of the lake.

The crystal clear water circled by the row of green grass son the corner gives bowl like the picture of the lake from above. The Chandra Taal lake trek in 4 days provides one an unforgettable experience of breathtaking views, valleys, and hills of the place.

One goes back home after experiencing the enthralling and mesmerizing beauty of the place.
