An eight-day all women tour to the Spiti Valley takes you around a multitude of beautiful locations in the region- Manali, Kaza, Rohtang pass, Kunzum La, Kye religious community, Tashigang and Gette, Komik, Langza, Chandratal lake, Batal and Chattru. All Women Tour of Spiti Valley will fill you up with happiness and excitement giving you a blissful escape from your mundane life.
You will commence your unforgettable trip from New Delhi in the morning somewhere around 08:00 AM from where you will be travelling in an Innova car.
By late evening you will arrive at Manali, one of the most popular hill stations in India. This trip will take you almost 10 hours. After that, you will enjoy an overnight stay at the serene mountain resort town.
Day 2 is for exploration. Take a walk around the old Manali market and shop to your heart’s content.
Enjoy the local cuisine and get a closer insight into the culture that Manali is so famous for.
On day 3, you will be driven to Kaza from Manali in the morning, after a passage through Rohtang pass first.
Cross the Kunzum Pass, where one has the option to pay their tributes to the Kunzum Mata if they so please. This is followed by an arrival at Kaza, the capital of the Spiti Valley.
The total travel duration on day 3 is around 10 hours.
On day 4 you will commence your day with a ride to Tabo from Kaza. It is a monastery and a world heritage site where you can find a lot of interesting Buddhist artifacts.
After that, you will be taken to Dhankar village; which offers you an unforgettable view of the valley. The village is known for its 1200 year old monastery.
After that, you will begin your trek to Dhankar lake which takes around 40 minutes to arrive and return to Kaza for an overnight stay. A momo-making class is an enjoyable optional activity that can be participated in.
The total travel time is around 6 hours.
On the fifth day, you will drive from Kaza to Kye monastery, it is a 1000 year old monastery and the biggest one overlooking the Spiti river.
The drive to Tashigang and Getter is beautiful; get an opportunity to ride the Chichum Jhoola (a pulley attached at both ends of a valley with a basket carrying people). You will take delight in the local village sights and later in the afternoon take pleasure in delving into the Spitian culture.
Arrive in Kibber for an overnight stay in a local homestay that specialises in delicious organic meals.
Visit Komik, a fine looking monastery.
A yak ride and a wine tasting session are optional activities you can choose to partake in. Arrive in Kaza, for an overnight stay.
