Five are small in size and the largest is located near the Koraidevi temple.

Raigad Trek

Raigad is a hill fort situated in Mahad, Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. The Raigad Fort, formerly known as Rairi, was built by Chandraraoji More, the King of Jawali, who was then seized by Shivaji who made it his capital in 1674 when he was crowned the King of the Maratha Kingdom which later developed into the Maratha Empire, eventually covering much of western and central India.

The fort was looted and destroyed by the British after it was captured in 1818. The fort rises 820 meters (2,700 ft) above sea level and is located in the Sahyadri mountain range. Approximately 1737 steps are leading to the fort.

Lonar Crater

Lonar Crater, a lake, formed around 52000 years ago in the Buldhana district of Maharashtra, is a National Geo-Heritage Monument making it as world’s second-largest crater.

The water in the lake is both Saline (outer region) and Alkaline (inner region), rarely found. As per scientists, the crater was formed after a comet or an asteroid hit. The Crater or Lake is spread over 1.2 km (diameter) with a maximum depth of 150 m.

Lohagad Fort

Lohagad (Iron fort) is one of the various hill forts in Maharashtra, India. Located near the hill station Lonavala, 52 km (32 mi) Northwest of Pune. Lohagad rises to an elevation of 1,033 m (3,389 ft.) above water level. It is connected to the Visapur fort by a tiny low range.

Lohagad features a long history with several dynasties occupying it at different periods: Satavahanas, Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas, Yadavas, Bahmanis, Nizams, Mughals, and Marathas. The Shivneri Fort, or Shivneri, is the birthplace of the founder of the Maratha Empire, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, where he lived for the first six years of his life.
